Busy Weekend

Dale and Barb -Friends that really careed for me!
My buddy, Dale!

On Saturday evening I had a delightful evening at the Malzahns celebrating several "0" birthdays one of which was my friend Barb Malzahn's - she joined the 60 club. I stayed overnightat the Malzahn's very nice home and went to church and breakfast with them on Sunday.

Sunday was my last Sunday to work at St. Paul.

I went home to Tim and Cathy's - we then went to the Congers for dinner - Tim grilled delicious
hamburgers.
Monday has been fairly routine - worked at church.

Saturday, August 16, 2008

Happy Saturday the 17th of August! Today is a fun day - washing my car, doing some clothes shopping, going Downriver for a birthday party at my friends, the Malzahns. They are even letting me stay overnight as I have to help at one of the services at St. Paul Sunday morning. they live "walking distance" to the church. That beats driving back to Tim's (35 miles) and back again the next morning.

Today wasn't as exciting as yesterday but i did get several responses from my new blog. It's great hearing from my "old" friends and relatives.

The Churchs and Me

M

Me and my first date(LOL) of my new journey

The Journey Begins

Last night I began my journey(perhaps my last) of 1 year traveling around the country seeking to find what the Lord has in store for me. Last night I said farewell to good friends - the Churchs. We had a fun time and great dinner at Moose McGregors. Present were Denny and Sue, Brian and Tina and Amy and Shad. Such nice people - so hard to say good-bye.

Today marks my 40th year of serving the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. So sad that I had little chance to say good-bye to so many friends.
